The countdown is on for the 2025 season opener of the Italian F.4 Championship, which, following recent tradition, will get underway at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli, located on the Romagna Riviera. A fitting and exciting stage to launch the twelfth edition of the championship promoted by ACI Sport and WSK Promotion, with a challenging and action-packed weekend featuring four races on the schedule.

All the relevant materials to take part in the event can be found at the following link:

The official weekend schedule has also been published, marking the first ACI Racing Weekend of the 2025 season. Alongside Formula 4, the event will feature six additional racing categories: the Formula Regional European Championship by Alpine, the Italian GT Endurance Championship, TCR Italy, the Italian Sport Prototype Championship, and the Porsche Carrera Cup Italia, which will also include a spectacular night race. The weekend will also be enriched by time rush demonstrations featuring the Porsche Taycan.

Formula 4 race format

Given the high number of entries expected, the event will adopt the multi-series and group format. Qualifying will be split into two separate sessions—one for Series 1 and one for Series 2. Based on the results, drivers will be divided into three groups (A, B, and C) and will compete in three qualifying races:

Race 1: Groups B and C
Race 2: Groups A and B
Race 3: Groups A and C

The top 36 drivers, based on the results of these qualifying races, will move on to the Final Race. Points valid for the championship standings will be awarded based on the results of all races contested, including both the qualifying races and the Final. The complete regulations are available in the dedicated section on the ACI Sport website.

Weekend schedule

The opening weekend of the Italian F.4 Championship will officially kick off on Thursday, May 1, with two collective test sessions: the first taking place in the morning from 9:00 to 11:00, and the second in the afternoon from 14:15 to 16:15.

Friday, May 2 will be dedicated to free practice, with two sessions scheduled: one in the morning from 8:30 to 9:10, and another in the afternoon from 13:25 to 14:05. In the evening, qualifying will take place, following the split-session format used in case of large entry lists. Series 1 will be on track from 17:30 to 17:50, followed by Series 2 from 18:00 to 18:20.

On Saturday, May 3, the first two qualifying races will be held: Race 1 is set to start at 11:15, while Race 2 is scheduled for 17:10.

Sunday, May 4 will open with Race 3, which will begin at 10:55, and will conclude with the highly anticipated Final, scheduled for 19:30, bringing the curtain down on the weekend under the scenic sunset over the racetrack.

All races will run over a distance of 25 minutes plus one lap.
